At certain points in history, for some reason, the populous of a country feels it needs to revert back to small children and votes in people who will tell them what is best and keep the monsters in the closet. Things are never black and white but sometimes people want them to be, I guess. P.S. Maybe Carl Rove is the impetus for No Child Left Behind? He seems confused. Every now and again I go to a legislative committee meeting and am heartened that there are intelligent careing people trying to do their best. Two bad there are so many jerks. That said, I wish people would stop reminding me about the election. I have a boatload of work to get done to get the election results section done on NHPR's website. Sigh.
