Check out these organisms making the spotlight this week

Left: Twin pigmy marmosets babies. Pigmy marmasets are the smallest species of monkey, reaching an adult size of 5 inches. This pair is special because they are albinos.

Center: Hezbollian green sea turtle baby or is it Israeli? This little reptile highlights the silent victims of the lastest Middle East conflict. As a result of the war thousand of gallons of oil spilled onto beaches and into the water. Thanks to some scientists this little dude and his neighbors were escorted to safer lands.

Right: Everglades researchers stumbled upon this gluttonous site. Apparentely, the Python ate the six foot long croc. and literally busted a gut!

Oh my goodness, I hope ThatGuy sees the cute little marmosets! Do you remember when he, Maletas, and myself lived together on Central and ThatGuy was set on getting a pet marmoset?? He called several people at the state, only to find out that they were illegal as pets in NH… I had to hold him as the tears flowed that day. Hmmm… I wonder if they are legal in GA.

Nevermind… ThatGuy just informed me that they are illegal in GA as well… apparently he already did his homework.

Did he cry again?

Also, that python must have smelled very bad. When I look at that picture all I can think of is the smell that a snake makes after you’ve run it over with a lawnmower. I didn’t do it on purpose!

Zippy mowed a lawn? In what life did that occur?
Next he will admit to pulling a weed once.

It must really be neat to see a troop of pygmy marmosets in the wild moving through the trees or brush given their size. Kind of like mice on steroids.
