This must be pretty odd to you but I didn't use a phone on a regular (daily) basis until I was in college. I had a friend who's apartment in grad school was so small that it did not have a kitchen so he washed his dishes in the bathtub while sitting on the John. I will admit that he was the cleanest person I have ever known so if any one could get away with it he could. He would never do two things at once in his kitchen/bathroom.
