 Brokeness

June 15, 2007 at 10:12 am  |  home, photos

Woo… yesterday our back window randomly (?) broke. There are no rocks under it and the Scientist did not see anything on the deck after it happened so who knows…

Anyway, here’s a picture. Someone is coming out today (nowish) to give a complete estimate and order the glass replacement. It should be a couple hundred bucks so less than our deductables. Woo.

  2. Unusual. I will check for earthquakes. Fat chance. Not covered by typical home owner’s policy anyway.

Blasting damage? Anyone blasting in the area? Vibrations travel a long way in sand.

No obvious point of impact. Is the door opening fine?

    See you tomorrow.

  3. I don’t think there was any blasting… they are doing construction on the new Hannaford’s and there is a sand pit near us. I don’t think they do anything with dynamite over there.

    Sigh, I’m taking donations.

  4. […] Our window is still broken, and pieces of glass are slowly starting to fall onto our deck.  It was supposed to be replaced sometime last week but the window from the manufacturer had a big scratch in it (it would have been nice to receive a call portland glass).  Anyway, hopefully that will get replaced soon.
